The Denim Day campaign is a national rape prevention education campaign to address misconceptions that surround sexual assault. Rooted in an inclusive collaborative process between service providers, survivors of sexual assault, and public high school youth, our design team developed a strategic campaign toolkit that would enable participants to become extensions of the message and broaden our outreach capacity. With access in mind, all of the toolkit materials were open-sourced through the campaign website, helping to foster better partnerships with institutions and community groups resulting in a dramatic increase in participation every year - reaching 2.5 million participants by 2010.
